Spiderpope and a new shotgun model


After a few setbacks I'm back and working hard on INCISION. The newcomer enemy, codename Spiderpope, is my version of Doom's Arachnotron with a design influenced by the classic FPS game Blood and Adeptus Mechanicus of WH40k. They are the first heavy hitter enemy type, with slow movement speed and large hitbox which can easily block any hallway and prevent fleet-footed players from attempting to smugly skip every enemy encounter. I'm planning to give them an ability throw web that slows anything it touches, and their gun fires ricocheting projectiles that are quite deadly in cramped spaces.


Another update is the shotgun's new model. It's not a classic double barreled shotgun anymore. Guns like that don't really fit the game's near-future theme. I also realized how great 3D-Coat is at texturing even crusty low-res models like these, and I used its smart materials to texture both the robopope and the shotty. I won't texture a single model by hand from now on. Good riddance to rubbish like that.
